About
At Nomos Foundation (NF) we nurture scholarship and expertise on the complex intersection between law, war, and new emerging technologies. The NF draws upon academic and practitioner experience to critically examine the role of international law in future warfare.
Mission
The Nomos Foundation’s mission is to raise a new generation of scholars to strategically study future warfare from different legal perspectives, alternatives frameworks, ethical and/or religious codes and challenge the boundaries of knowledge.
Vision
Nomos Foundation informs and shapes legal and policy debate on warfare and related emerging military technology, accounting for the global context. It envisages a platform to learn, discuss and strategically nurture thought leadership on complex legal, ethical and military questions.
History
Nomos was established in 2020, initially as an NGO focused on conflict resolution. We conducted over 2,000 field interviews and produced three impactful reports, providing crucial support for legal cases, including international litigation. Today, we proudly operate as a foundation, fully committed to advancing our mission and vision with purpose.
